My story with Dave, the kids, Cooper, VW's & rugby

CoD Modern Warfare 2 Widow

For the past 2 days I’ve heard nothing else in the evenings apart from the constant battle action coming from the sound system in the living room as Dave has played non stop on Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2.

It was me who got the game on pre-order back in August from GAME as I was feeling very organised, and CoD arrived at work first thing on Monday morning before it had even hit the shops. As Dave waved Modern Warfare 2 around the office the excitement grew until home time when I’ve never seen Dave get wrapped up to leave the office so close to 5.30pm. Normally Dave won’t get home until at least 7.30pm once he manages to prise himself away from his monitors and the internet.

Last night, Anthony from work came to our house to play the new game and it was quite fun to see the new graphics, weapons and features on the new Call of Duty. Tonight has been a similar story except a few of the Bronco guys now have the game, thanks to Sainsbury’s selling it for a ridiculously low price, so its all on for hours of online game play. Dave got to leave work early tonight to pick the kids up from their after school club so that they too could have a go.

I class myself as a CoD Modern Warfare 2 Widow, but as with most things the novelty of a new game will wear off soon and I’ll be able to watch a bit of trashy TV in the evenings while I do a bit of extra work on my lappy. But until then I’ll have no excuse not to keep catching up on the day’s work and lets hope that all the gamers out there don’t turn up for work in the morning tired and unproductive after a long night battling on Call of Duty!
