One of my most favourite meals is lasagne so I thought it would be worth sharing with you just how easy it is to make.
You need to start off with a normal bolognaise sauce made from beef mince, onion, garlic, peppers, mushrooms, tinned tomatoes, oregano and I also add in tomato puree, red wine, beef oxo cubes, salt and pepper, as well as Lea & Perrins – but everyone has their own recipe.
For the lasagne part you also just need about three quarters of a pint of white sauce, lasagne sheets and cheese. Get an ovenproof dish, I prefer a rectangular one so the pasta fits in better.
Start with a layer of the meat sauce, then a bit of white sauce, then a layer of lasagne. Then add another layer of meat sauce, add some white sauce, then another layer of lasagne. Top with a layer of white sauce and grate on some cheese – maybe add some parmesan cheese too and a sprinkle of oregano. Then bake at about 180 degrees C for about 35 – 45 minutes until browned off and bubbling.
