iGaming Affiliate Conferences are Awesome

I enjoy all the conferences that I get to attend with Dave, and will manage to get to 2 or 3 each year. The first conference to start the year off has been the London Affiliate Conference (LAC) held at the Old Billingsgate Market, which we have just got back from.

What I love about iGaming conferences is the “glitz and glam” that the merchants, operators, players and super affiliates bring with them. The affiliate conferences is something that we started going to when A4U and the Casino Affiliate Conference first asked Dave to speak back in 2008. Last year we went to AAC in Amsterdam and BAC in Budapest which were great events.

UK Economy Heading Out of Recession

It’s about time that the UK had some good news about the state of the economy to give some hope to the many businesses who have been struggling to survive over the last 18 months.

Yesterday it was announced that the UK economy had grown by 0.1% during the last 3 months of 2009. This is a worryingly low increase though, and especially when the 3 months in question include the all important Christmas sales period. With the total recovery only being 0.1% I feel that we are very likely to see a downturn when the figures come out in April. January will have seen a natural downturn due to the 2 weeks of really bad weather that must have harmed the economy with people unable to get to work, school or the shops, but time will tell.

Canon IXUS 100 IS 12MP

I’ve got a new camera …woohoo… it’s the Canon IXUS 100 IS 12 Megapixel digital camera. This is going to replace my Canon IXUS 980 8MP camera that I have had for probably the last 2 years or so. We are big Canon camera fans, with me having the pocket size digital camera version which goes everywhere with me, and Dave opting for the big Canon SLR EOS 350D with a lens for every occasion, that comes out every so often.

The Perfect Flight Comparison Site

Wouldn’t it be great if everything was perfect, but sadly things can’t always be … and everytime that I try to work out some flights for getting Dave, or us both, to a conference efficiently I always have the same issues.

You have the likes of say BMI who can offer a really wide selection of flights but you only find out where they fly once you have chosen your starting point, and then it will tell you where is available. But I don’t think I am unique in the fact that we have a few airports to choose from. Our closest airports are Leeds Bradford and Teesside, but in easy reach is Newcastle as well as East Midlands, Robin Hood Airport and of course Manchester. On trips to the USA Dave sometimes has to go via London but even then you have Heathrow, Gatwick, London City, Stansted and Luton all to consider.

eBoy Super Bronco Poster

Dave and I keep looking at pictures for the Bronco offices to brighten the place up and add a bit of personality to the plain walls. We have picked up a few pictures over the years, and yes it includes a picture of a VW Camper Van, plus a cool picture of the RAF Red Arrows display team which is signed by the pilots that we won at a charity auction.

I have got the latest addition to the Bronco art at the framers at the moment and it’s a massive poster by eBoy called Super Bronco. (note top right hand corner, blue building)
